Jessy Cruz The Spirit of Latin Music

Born in the Atlantic coastal city of Rio San Juan in the Dominican
Republic, Jessy Cruz has been singing since age 10 and, at 15, won his
first singing competition. Many more were to follow!
Soon after his first taste of stage success at age 15, Jessy performed
at concerts in his local church choir and in the piano bar at the Hotel
Rio San Juan, where he was able to entertain guests from around the
world with his exciting mix of international song classics and
self-written compositions.
Success at the Hotel Rio San Juan led to a contract with the Puerto
Plata Holiday Inn, where Jessy performed solo concerts on a regular
basis. Concurrently, Jessy appeared as a guest performer at the Club Las
Palmas and in the Hotel Villa Caribe.
After expanding his career effort to Germany, Jessy sang with the
Cuidado Salsa Group, the Grupo Vaya, La Esencia, and Mambo Diablo, then
appeared with Tropical Band in Spain before returning to Germany with
Son Latinos in Hamburg.
Sharing the stage with Los Van Van (Cuba), Susana Baca (Peru), and
Aventura Group (USA/Dominican Republic), Jessy then embarked on tours in
Spain, Holland, Denmark and England before returning to Germany in 1995
to produce his collection of self-composed pop and rock ballads/songs
under the album title, "Mi gran inmenso amor".

Performances and concerts have led Jessy to Bludenz/Austria (Stadtsaal),
Lugo/Spain (Club Morango), Amsterdam/Holland (Live Location Paradiso),
and Bern/Switzerland (Internationales Kulturfestival), as well as the
German locations of Munich (Bayerischer Hof), Frankfurt (Brotfabrik),
Goettingen (Junges Theater), Hannover (Pavillon and Brotfabrik), Kassel
(Universität and Brotfabrik), and Hamburg (Delphi Showpalast), amongst
others!
